Bendigo and Adelaide Bank appoints Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer

28 March 2022 |Announcements

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited (ASX:BEN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Morgan as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Morgan has over 30 years global financial services experience and joins the Bank from Colonial First State where he is currently Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this he was Chief Financial Officer and Acting Managing Director of MLC Wealth, joining after five years as Chief Financial Officer of Commonwealth Bank’s wealth management business.

Mr Morgan brings with him considerable banking experience having led key finance functions for National Australia Bank’s European banking operations and spending five years within Commonwealth Bank’s business and private banking and Bankwest divisions, the last four years as Chief Financial Officer, where he demonstrated the ability to transform, simplify and create value for the business.

Mr Morgan will replace Travis Crouch who will become Deputy Chief Financial Officer, as he steps back from the role to spend more time with his young family.

Managing Director and CEO Marnie Baker said the flexibility that allowed the Bank to add to its deep bench of talent while also retaining knowledge built up over many years was a good outcome, and demonstrated why Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is Australia’s better big bank.

“We are pleased to appoint someone of Andrew’s calibre to the role of Chief Financial Officer. His experience and understanding of the banking landscape will help us to execute our strategy and become a bigger, better and stronger bank.”

“After more than 20 years at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Travis is a highly regarded member of the executive team. We support Travis in his decision to spend more time with his family and believe the arrangement is a win-win for the Bank.”

Mr Morgan will join Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in June. The appointment will bolster the ranks of its finance team and follows the appointment of Luke Davidson to Group Treasurer. Mr Davidson joined the Bank on 21 March from ANZ where he was Chief Financial Officer of their Institutional Division.
