Director for 29 years and appointed Chairman in 2006.

Robert has significant experience in banking and financial services and expertise in corporate strategy, capital and risk management and mergers and acquisitions. He has over 35 years experience in providing corporate advice on capital market transactions to a wide range of public and private companies.

Robert is a director of Grant Samuel Group Pty Ltd (and subsidiaries), a director of the Robert Salzer Foundation and Chairman, Australia India Institute.

Marnie Baker
Managing Director

Marnie Baker - Managing Director - Bendigo and Adelaide Bank

Based in Bendigo and married with three sons, Marnie has been with the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group since 1989 and an Executive of the Bank since 2000. She was appointed Managing Director in 2018.

Marnie has 30 years’ experience in financial services, specifically Retail Banking, Trustee and Custodial Services, Financial Planning, Insurance, Funds Management, Treasury, Risk and Compliance, Payment Systems, Information Technology, Change Management, Social Media and Digital Technologies, Legal and Human Resources.

Marnie holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Latrobe University and is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Marnie is a Director of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited, Rural Bank Limited and sits on the Advisory Board of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies, Australian Bankers Association, Business Council of Australia, and Mastercard Asia Pacific Advisory Board. Marnie is also a member of Corporate Executive Women.


Jan Harris

Appointed to the board in 2016.

Jan has had a distinguished career in the Australian public service with extensive experience in public and regulatory policy development, economics and governance. Jan has had senior roles in the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, including most recently as Deputy Secretary at the Treasury.

Jan currently also serves as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation and a part-time member of the International Air Services Commission.

Jim is a prominent South Australian businessman with significant banking experience and knowledge of the regional banking industry.

Jim chairs Ingenia Communities Group Limited. He also serves on the boards of Impedimed Limited, Coopers Brewery Limited and Centrex Metals Limited.

Jacqueline Hey

Appointed to the Board in 2011.

Jacquie has experience in telecommunications, marketing and sales, including as CEO of Ericsson in the UK and in Australia. She worked with Ericsson for more than 20 years in leadership roles in Australia, Sweden, the UK and the Middle East.

Jacquie is a director of Qantas Airways Limited, AGL Energy Limited, Cricket Australia, Melbourne Business School and Australian Foundation Investment Company.

David has experience in small business and agri-business and is involved in a number of agricultural industry bodies including as a director of Pulse Australia.

David chaired the first Community Bank® company in Rupanyup and Minyip.

David is currently a member of the Community Bank® National Council.

Tony has significant experience in wealth management and insurance, including as CEO of Centre Point Alliance, IOOF and OAMPS.

Tony’s other previous management positions include joint managing director of Falkiners Stockbroking, managing director of WealthPoint, chief financial officer of Link Telecommunications and general manager corporate services at Mayne Nickless. Tony chairs TasFoods Limited and Primary Opinion Limited. Tony is a director of Pacific Current Group Limited, PSC Insurance Group Limited and Investors Mutual Limited.

Vicki joined the Board on 4 September 2018.

Vicki has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector including retail banking and more recently in business technology. Vicki is currently employed as Executive Director, Strategy and Business Services at Telstra. Prior to this Vicki held a number of executive roles at NAB including Executive General Manager - Retail Bank, Executive General Manager – Business Operations and General Manager – People and Organisational Development. Vicki has also held various senior leadership roles at MLC, ING and Prudential.
